Terms and Conditions
Okay, so this is the terms and conditions page. I know nobody actually reads these things, but I’m going to try to make this as straightforward as possible.
By using howmanydaysuntil.christmas, you’re agreeing to these terms. If something here doesn’t work for you, then unfortunately you shouldn’t use the site. That sounds harsh, but that’s basically how these agreements work.
Who’s Who Here
Let’s clarify the terminology because legal documents love making this confusing:
You (or “Your”): That’s you, the person visiting this website right now.
Me (or “I,” “My,” “Us”): That’s me, Sumit Jha, the person who built and runs this site.
The Site: howmanydaysuntil.christmas (the Christmas countdown website you’re currently on).
What You Can and Can’t Do
I own all the content on this site. The countdown design, the daily Christmas facts, the code, the graphics, all of it. It’s my intellectual property.
Here’s what you can do: Visit the site, check the countdown, read the facts, enjoy the experience. That’s what it’s here for.
- Copy the site’s content and republish it somewhere else
- Sell or rent any material from the site
- Scrape the Christmas facts and use them for your own project
- Reproduce the design or code
- Redistribute the content in any commercial way
Basically, this is a free Christmas countdown site for personal enjoyment. It’s not a resource library for you to copy from.
If you want to share the countdown with someone, just send them the link to the actual website. That’s totally fine and actually appreciated.
The Honest Disclaimer
This site is provided as-is, for free, for entertainment and informational purposes.
I’ve done my best to make sure the Christmas facts are accurate and the countdown works correctly, but I can’t guarantee perfection. If there’s an error in a fact or the countdown glitches for some reason, I’m not legally liable for that.
I’m not responsible for any loss or damage that somehow results from using this website. I can’t imagine how a Christmas countdown could cause damage, but legally, I need to say this.
The site is free. You’re not paying for anything. That means I’m not on the hook if something goes wrong with your experience.
If there’s something that’s genuinely broken or wrong, email me and I’ll fix it. But from a legal liability standpoint, using this site is at your own risk.
Changes to Content
The site is constantly evolving. I add new Christmas facts, improve the design, fix bugs, update features. I don’t need to notify you every time I make a change.
By continuing to use the site after updates, you’re agreeing to those changes. If I make major changes to these terms, I’ll update the “Last Updated” date at the top.
Links and External Content
Sometimes I might link to other websites or reference external sources for Christmas facts. I’m not responsible for the content on those other sites.
If you click a link and leave howmanydaysuntil.christmas, you’re now subject to that other site’s terms and policies, not mine.
Governing Law
This site is operated from Bihar, India. These terms are governed by the laws of Bihar, India.
If somehow there’s a legal dispute about this Christmas countdown website (which would be bizarre, but legally I have to specify this), it would be handled under the jurisdiction of Bihar courts.
Termination
I reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the site at any time without notice. This is a personal project, and while I plan to keep it running indefinitely, life happens.
I also reserve the right to block access if someone is abusing the site, scraping content, or doing something malicious. But if you’re just visiting normally, you’ll never have an issue.
Questions About These Terms
If something in these terms confuses you or you need clarification, email me at: skjservices2295@gmail.com
The Bottom Line: This is a free Christmas countdown site made out of passion for the holiday season. Use it to track the days until Christmas, learn some cool facts, and enjoy the experience. Don’t copy the content or try to republish it elsewhere. That’s basically it.
If you’re using the site the way it’s intended (checking the countdown, reading facts, having fun), you’ll never run into any issues with these terms. They’re here for legal protection, not to make your life difficult.
